When you order a gift card you will receive an email with a special alpha-numeric code redeemable for the amount purchased. If it is a gift (duh) you'll have to forward the email (or just send them the code) on to the person you purchased it for so they can use it.
If the entire amount is not used during their initial purchase, it will carry a balance that can be applied toward future purchases. If the gift card is not enough to cover the cost of their order, the person will need to supply a secondary method of payment for the balance. The gift card is essentially a debit account that can be used time and time again until it is used up.
Gift Cards are a method of payment and can therefore be used in conjunction with a discount code if and when we happen to make a discount code available. You cannot however, purchase the actual gift card with a discount code.
