Scurvy Dog is a high-potency ascorbic acid (vitamin C) serum, elevated with a blend of stabilizing antioxidants like vitamin E, ferulic acid, and caffeine crystals.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) stands as the star of skincare antioxidants, known for its prowess in lightening dark spots, boosting collagen, and shielding skin from pollution and UV damage. Scurvy Dog also features glycyrrhetinic acid from licorice for added anti-inflammatory and brightening effects. Ascorbic acid creates a potent antioxidant reserve with a half-life of 4 days once it gets into your dermis, combating free radicals from various environmental stressors. To maintain its effectiveness, regular application is key.

Scurvy Dog requires a bit of acclimation, with its pH under 3.5 to ensure vitamin C penetrates the dermis effectively. Initially, you might experience a tingling sensation when first applying.

Upon application, Scurvy Dog leaves the skin slightly tacky as it absorbs. Once your skin feels dry and smooth, the treatment has fully penetrated, readying you for the next skincare step. Be cautious not to advance too quickly, as doing so might raise your skin's pH above 3.5, hindering further vitamin C absorption.

Apply after toner and before everything else in routine.

Apply 2 pumps evenly across entire face, allow a few minutes to fully absorb until proceeding to the next step in the routine.

Should feel tacky and a bit sticky for the first minute or so after application. Wait until your skin is not tacky and dry-to-the-touch before moving on to next step in routine.

Ascorbic acid oxidizes (goes bad) very easily and quickly so do not hoard this bottle, use it quickly and do not buy backups until the first one is very close to finished.
